Royal Challengers Bangalore had ten available slots for the IPL Auction. Out of the ten available places, eight places could have been filled by Indian players whereas there was a room for two more foreign players. Consequently, Royal Challengers Bangalore added seven Indian players to their squad whereas they added one overseas player.

The one big player which they got in their ranks is Shimron Hetmyer who was brought for INR 4.2 Crores. The southpaw pugnacious batsman was able to impress on the recent tour of India. The left-hander was successful in hitting the ground from the get-go and scored his runs at a brisk pace.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have roped-in two power-hitters.

Hetmyer had scored 259 runs in the five-match ODI series against India and would like to repeat his form in the IPL while donning the RCB jersey.

In fact, the Indian veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh had predicted a million dollar deal for Shimron Hetmyer. Furthermore, the Bangalore team was able to grab the services of Shivam Dubey for a whopping amount of INR 5 Crores.

The southpaw batsman had recently scored five sixes in one over. Since then he was expected to the cynosure of all eyes for the IPL Auction. Consequently, it would be a great opportunity for the 24-year old to play with the likes of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.
