MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav – teammates at the Chennai Super Kings and the Indian National Cricket team, share a great bond and Kedar have been vocal about it. The Indian all-rounder has always credited the former India skipper for his growth in cricket. Also, Dhoni was instrumental in bringing Kedar to the Chennai Super Kings ahead of the 2018 Indian Premier League.

Kedar suffered an injury in the first match of the last edition and missed the entire tournament which Chennai Super Kings won. Meanwhile, Kedar Jadhav has regained his fitness and is a part of the playing XI. The short-height all-rounder is honing his skills in the middle-order ahead of the ICC World Cup. However, it has not been that great for Kedar as he has scored 135 runs from eight games so far at a strike rate of less than 100. He still has a few games in hand to hit the right strides ahead of the showpiece event in England and Wales.

Chennai consolidates at the top

Chennai Super Kings, however, are sitting happily at the pole position with seven wins from eight games. Their only defeat came against Mumbai Indians on April 3 at the Wankhede Stadium. They recently beat Kolkata Knight Riders at their home turf to make it two out of two in their away games since the last tie. Bowling first, they restricted a heavyweight Kolkata batting to 161 runs before chasing it down with two balls to spare. Imran Tahir was the pick of the players for Chennai Super Kings claiming four wickets before Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja took their team home. MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav both got starts but failed to take their side over the rope.

Meanwhile, after a tiring game at the Eden Gardens, Chennai players were relaxing while having food at the dressing room. In a video shared by Kedar Jadhav, the Maharastra cricketer was seen feeding food to MS Dhoni while the latter was taking a sip of his tea. The video won millions of hearts as soon as it hit the internet and has garnered a lot of views.
