Mumbai Indians (MI) defending champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have won the coveted trophy a record four times, and this season, they will not only try to retain their title but will also aim to become the only team to win the IPL five times.
While it’s no easy feat, winning is a habit for Rohit Sharma’s team. With the 13th edition of the upcoming IPL season drawing close, we take a look at some key players from the Indians who can help them retain the trophy when the new season begins, on March 29.
Here are three players from Mumbai Indians (MI) who can help them win the IPL 2020 title:
3) Quinton de Kock
Not just an opener, but as a wicketkeeper-batsman, Quinton de Kock will be key to Indians’ title credentials in the upcoming IPL season. He will be responsible to provide the team with a platform from the start, and the 27-year-old an exceptionally talented player, so the team will rely on him to score plenty of runs.
In his IPL career so far, the South African skipper has played fifty matches, scoring 1456 runs, with an average of 30.33 and a strike rate of 131.29.
De Kock has had an indifferent time lately with the national team, but in the IPL, he will be surrounded by world-class players, so hopefully, the left-handed batsmen will continue to take responsibility for the Indians’ just as he takes for the Proteas.
