IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals Rope In RCB Net-Bowler Pravin Dubey As Amit Mishra's Replacement

Delhi Capitals have roped in Karnataka’s leg-spinner Pravin Dubey as a replacement for injured Amit Mishra for the rest of IPL 2020. Pravin Dubey is already in UAE and was plying his trade in the Royal Challengers Bangalore camp as a net bowler.
Earlier this month, Mishra was ruled out of the entire competition after sustaining a flexor tendon injury to the ring finger of his bowling hand. He had suffered the injury while attempting a return catch in the Delhi Capitals’ match against the Kolkata Knight Riders on October 3.
At that point of the stage, the veteran spinner was the third-highest wicket-taker for the Capitals in the IPL. The 37-year-old has already undergone surgery and is recovering at the moment.
Who is Pravin Dubey?
While Pravin Dubey has not played any game in IPL, he is definitely not new to the tournament. RCB had signed up the spinner during the 2016 auction but he never got the chance to make his IPL debut. He stayed with RCB for a couple of seasons before the franchise parted its way with him.
Pravin Dubey, nonetheless, has kept impressing with his performance in domestic cricket. He has done well in the Karnataka Premier League. One of his finest outings came in the 2015-16 KPL when he took 8 wickets for Belgavi Panthers at an economy rate of 6.89.

Delhi Capitals, nonetheless, have all but sealed their place in the playoffs. With seven wins from nine games, they are currently at the top of the points table. They will be in action again on Tuesday against Kings XI Punjab.
