IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals Full Schedule: Date, Time, And Venue Details

On Sunday (6th of September), the BCCI finally released the schedule of the 2020 edition of IPL. Delhi Capitals will take the field on the second day of the extravaganza against the Kings XI Punjab. At the same time, the opening match will feature defending champions Mumbai Indians and the runners-up of 2019 Chennai Super Kings.

Delhi Capitals were a much-improved franchise the last season under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer. They reached the playoffs in 2019 for the first time since the fifth edition of IPL as their critical players stood up. Ahead of the upcoming leg, they bought the likes of Alex Carey, Marcus Stoinis, Shimron Hetmyer while trading Ravichandran Ashwin and Ajinkya Rahane.

The franchise has also retained their core players. Ricky Ponting, who has remained a very influential coach, will serve as theirs. As indicated by Aakash Chopra, their team indeed looks excellent and balanced on paper. Hence, they would be keen to lift their first trophy this time.
