IPL 2020: Twitter Absolutely Elated With Delhi Capitals' Royal Display Against Rajasthan Royals
Updated - 10 Oct 2020, 01:24 AM
Twitter was on fire on Friday as Delhi Capitals pulled off another magical performance against Rajasthan Royals in match 23 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). Delhi Capitals beat Rajasthan Royals by 46 runs to claim their 5th win of the IPL 2020 campaign and go on top of the standings chart.
Rajasthan Royals returned to Sharjah on Friday as their hunting ground was ready to hunt. They certainly did so as they stopped the mighty Delhi Capitals’ batsmen on 184-8 in their 20 overs. Although this looks like an above par score for a T20 game, it certainly is a below-par score on a ground where the average 1st innings score is 219 runs in the tournament.
However, Delhi Capitals reminded the Royals as to why they are called the most complete team of IPL 2020 and defended the below-par score and restricted the Royals.

The Twitterati was clearly ecstatic over Delhi Capitals’ complete all-round performance in Sharjah against Rajasthan Royals and here are the best tweets of the day:
At Sharjah we got to see bowlers doing well today… #2020 well done #DelhiCapitals #rabada #Ashwin #hetmyer

Shimron Hetmyer though. ? #RRvDC | #HallaBol | #RoyalsFamily | #IPL2020

The DC catching is insane.

A team is as good as the squad – 3 wickets down in the power play and to get to 184 is the hallmark of this team – and the fielding and bowling has been immense – huge credit to @MohammadKaif on the fielding performance @DelhiCapitals #RoarMacha

#RR requiring 84 off five overs to win in Sharjah with Rahul Tewatia batting.
Have seen this equation before.#RRvDC— Deepu Narayanan (@deeputalks) October 9, 2020
My guys – @DelhiCapitals ??

royals have a chance if tewatia scratches around for the next couple of overs #DCvsRR #IPL2020

Today my man of the match @ashwinravi99 what a spell.. specially in Sharjah on the smallest ground and on this flattest pitch.. well done #Ashwin
— Harbhajan Turbanator (@harbhajan_singh) October 9, 2020
Yet again @DelhiCapitals showing how good a bowling unit they are. All 5 options are top quality. Rabada Nortje Axar Ashwin and Stoinis. No bowler to target target for the opponents.

This pitch at Sharjah hasn’t behaved anything like the pitches we’ve seen at this venue thus far. Bowlers won’t be complaining if this continues to be the case. #IPL2020 #DCvRR

He has done it in the @BBL time and again but not in the @IPL this year he has made it his own. Perhaps the most valuable player of this competition this year in terms of real impact. 3 games he has won his team.

If they couldn’t win this one, they won’t many @rajasthanroyals – and brilliant bowling by @DelhiCapitals #DCvsRR #IPL2020

74 & 85.
Then
8,4, 0 & 5.
Sanju and consistency.

Alas, Samson disappoints again. Hasn’t had a half decent score since the first couple of games, throwing away his wicket in almost every match after. Hugely talented, great to watch, but lacks consistency. Top guns gone, i suspect Rajasthan kaput
— Cricketwallah (@cricketwallah) October 9, 2020
Good bowling to get that wicket, but to be completely honest, I much preferred the dismissal when Ashwin got Buttler at the other end, last year… #DDvRR
— Saurabh Somani (@saurabh_42) October 9, 2020
How often we’ve seen ego get the better of good sense in this game? Butler v Ashwin was highly anticipated, but finished before it started, so to speak, with the batsman playing an ambitious slog sweep to dominate the bowler. Gr8 catch by Dhawan
