IPL 2020: Hardik Pandya Reacts To Dinesh Karthik's Stunning Knock Against KXIP

Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Dinesh Karthik, on Saturday, finally returned to form with a quickfire fifty against Kings XI Punjab. The veteran wicketkeeper-batsman was facing the heat from several quarters after his poor start to the season.

Several fans as well as experts were also calling for his removal as captain and replace him with England’s World Cup-winning skipper Eoin Morgan. But Dinesh Karthik showed that he still has a lot to offer with the bat with a brilliant knock of 58 from just 29 balls against KXIP.

His knock was studded with 8 fours and two sixes. It was his knock that helped KKR recover from a poor start and put up a competitive total of 164 for 6. At one stage, it looked like KKR would not even touch the 150-run mark after the likes of Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell failed with the bat.

However, Dinesh Karthik remained till the end to make sure his team put up a good total. He was run-out on the very last ball of the innings.

While Dinesh Karthik was criticised a lot in the last few days, the cricketing fraternity was quick to praise him too for his fine knock against KXIP. And as the fans and others lauded the KKR skipper, Mumbai Indians star Hardik Pandya joined the bandwagon too.

As far as the game is concerned, KKR beat KXIP by two runs to register their fourth win of the season. Chasing 165 to win, KXIP were off to a stunning start with KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal adding 115 runs for the first wicket before they threw away the chance to end their losing streak and ended their innings on 162.
