Chennai Super Kings have made a dismal start to their campaign in IPL 2020. The three-time champions, who have progressed ahead of the league stage in every season they have played so far, are looking out of sorts in the ongoing tournament so far.
They started their tournament on a bang by beating defending champions Mumbai Indians. However, they failed to keep the momentum in the following two games against Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals as they suffered crushing defeats. They lost to Royals by 16 runs before being thrashed by 44 runs by Delhi Capitals.
At present, they are lying at the bottom of the points table with just 2 points from three games. And the way the team has performed, one can say that the signs are not very promising. While this is not the first time CSK have made a slow start to the season, it is the manner of defeats that has raised a number of eyebrows.
However, their veteran spinner Imran Tahir is confident that the team will bounce back as he fired warning to the other teams. The South Africa leg-spinner made the bold claim while he was responding to a tweet in which a fan pointed out how CSK bounced back after a similar start in IPL 2010.
In 2010 IPL after 7 games CSK had won only 2 and lost 5.Many wrote them off. They won the next 5 out of 7 finished 3rd in the table and eventually went on to win their first ipl title.Never write off a proven champions.I expect this table to change very quickly and you ? https://t.co/AtZP64ojeZ

Imran Tahir responded to the tweet in Tamil, writing:
“Sir oru silar avangala vechu mudiyadunu solranga.Nanga @ChennaiIPL yengala vechu mudiyumnu solrom.mudiyadunu solratha mudichu kattaradu than yenga pazhakkam #eduda vandiya poduda whistle.” which roughly translates to – “Somebody says they cannot do .But we say we can do . Making impossible possible is CSK.”

As far as Imran Tahir is concerned, the veteran is yet to get a chance in the playing eleven. And with the team struggling to do well, he can expect to get the chance any time soon. CSK will be in action next on October 2 when they lock horns against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
