IPL 2020: List Of All Rajasthan Royals Players And Their Salaries

Rajasthan Royals approached the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction with an already balanced squad. They made the most number of player purchases (11) and have covered all of their bases for the upcoming season.
In IPL 2020, the Royals will be led by Steve Smith and have a squad full of star players such as Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, Ben Stokes. Add to that the players they purchased this season, the likes of Robbin Uthappa, David Miller, Tom Curran will hope to take their team into the playoffs.
In the history of IPL, Royals have won the trophy just once, in the inaugural season, and to change that they have amassed a group full of experience and youth. They purchased five uncapped players in the auction, taking their squad strength to 25.
Having said that, today we will take a look at the full roster of Rajasthan Royals, and the salary of each of their players.
Akash Singh (Uncapped):

One of the five uncapped purchases of 2020, Rajasthan picked up this young man for a price of 20 Lakh rupees. He is a local lad, having played his domestic cricket for Rajasthan state team.
Akash is currently with India’s U19 World Cup squad in South Africa, which will play in the final alongside Bangladesh.
Andrew Tye:

Andrew Tye is no stranger to the IPL. He has previously plied his trade for the likes of Kings XI Punjab, Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Lions.
He was the leading wicket-taker in IPL 2018 and was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for a sum of Rs. 1 crore.
Aniruddha Joshi (Uncapped):

Another uncapped pick for this year, Aniruddha Joshi is a fringe player for his state Karnataka. He has the ability to play down the order as well as trouble opposition batsmen with his off-breaks.
Joshi was picked up by Rajasthan Royals for Rs. 20 lakhs.
Ankit Rajpoot:

Ankit Rajpoot is a bowler who hails from Uttar Pradesh and was traded-in this year by the Rajasthan Royals. Rajpoot lit up the IPL in 2018 when he picked up a fifer giving away just 14 runs, playing for Kings XI Punjab.
He will be hoping to replicate those performances this year and is currently on a paycheck of Rs. 3 crores.
Anuj Rawat (Uncapped):

Anuj Rawat is one of those uncapped players who have a genuine chance of breaking into the Rajasthan Royals playing XI. He has played his domestic cricket for Delhi and the 20-year-old’s salary for this year will be Rs. 80 lakhs.
The left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman is also with the Indian U19 World Cup squad.
Ben Stokes:

Ben Stokes is a handy all-rounder who has proven his mettle on the international stage with England.
Last season, Stokes played nine matches and contributed six wickets, as well as 123 runs.
After helping his national team win the World Cup, the 28-year-old will hope to break Royals’ trophy drought. He is on a paycheck of Rs. 12.50 crores.
David Miller:

Rajasthan Royals have a history of banking on low-profile players, and David Miller is in that mould. He was purchased in the IPL auction 2020 for a price of Rs. 75 lakhs.
A former South Africa international, Miller’s experience could come in handy for his new side.
Jaydev Unadkat:

For the third successive time, Rajasthan Royals released Jaydev Unadkat and went on to buy him for a lower remuneration.
The 28-year-old played 11 matches last year and bagged 10 wickets. He has been a little expensive at times, but the Royals seem to have a developed a liking for Unadkat.
He is on a wage packet of Rs. 3 crores.
Jofra Archer:

Jofra Archer has the ability to bat and while bowling, he can consistently drop bombshells at the speed of 150 kph. Last season he scored 67 runs and scalped 11 wickets in as many matches.
The 24-year-old currently pockets Rs. 7.20 crores as salary and the Royals banked on his performances in the IPL 2019.
Jos Buttler:

Another Englishman on whom Rajasthan Royals depend a lot. Buttler has the ability to whack a few big hits and that is exactly why he has been retained this season. Last season he scored 311 runs but he can definitely do better than that.
The wicket-keeper batsman is currently on a wage packet of Rs. 4.40 crores.
Kartik Tyagi (Uncapped):

Another India U19 international, who has been lighting up the stage in South Africa. Tyagi was picked up by the Royals for a sum of Rs. 1.30 crores. He plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket and will be high on confidence when the IPL 2020 comes around, after having an incredibly successful World Cup campaign.
Mahipal Lomror:

The youngster who hails from Rajasthan itself will be looking to hone his skills and break into the playing XI for the Royals. Mahipal was retained by the franchise and he has the management’s backing.
All that’s left now is for him to return the goods on the field. His salary for IPL 2020 will be Rs. 20 lakhs.
Manan Vohra:

A stylish top-order batsman who has the ability to give his team a good platform to build upon, Rajasthan Royals signed Vohra last season.
The 26-year-old has been retained this year, and he will be given opportunities to open the innings, given he takes those chances. Vohra’s salary for this year will be Rs. 20 lakhs.
Mayank Markande:

An exciting young talent who lit up the stage in 2018, Markande was traded-in by Rajasthan Royals from Mumbai Indians after a surreal debut season that saw him collect 15 wickets.
He’s not the finished article yet, but surely IPL 2020 will provide him with ample opportunities to shine. The 23-year-old will earn Rs. 2 crores.
Oshane Thomas:

Bringing in the West-Indian flavour into the team, Oshane Thomas was signed by Rajasthan Royals last year and he went on to play just four games.
Standing at 6’6, the 23-year-old bowler will try to take his tally of five wickets from last season to a respectable number. Thomas is currently on a wage packet of Rs. 50 lakhs.
Rahul Tewatia:

Tewatia was traded in by Rajasthan Royals for a sum of Rs. 3 crores, despite his struggles with Delhi Capitals. He has previously played for the Royals in 2014, which is the team management have taken a bet on him.
The 26-year-old all-rounder will be looking to pay off the faith his team have shown in him.
Riyan Parag:

Another exciting talent, who is just 18 years old, Parag will be hoping to fine-tune his batting skills under some of the best in business.
He plays his domestic cricket for Assam, Parag played seven matches last year, scoring 160 runs and also taking two wickets in the process. His salary for IPL 2020 stands at Rs. 20 lakhs.
Robin Uthappa:

Rajasthan Royals were quick to rope-in Robin Uthappa, who after years of loyal service to Kolkata Knight Riders was released this year. His salary for IPL 2020 will be Rs. 3 crores and the versatile batsman will look to be the match-winner for his new side.
Having already won the IPL twice, his experience will be crucial for Rajasthan’s push for the title.
Sanju Samson:

Off-late Sanju Samson has been getting more opportunities to shine for team India after years of loyal service for Rajasthan Royals. Like each season, the 25-year-old will look to help his side to the playoffs. He scored 342 runs in 12 matches last year and the wicketkeeper batsman’s salary for this year will be Rs. 8 crores.

Shashank has been a fringe player for Delhi Capitals in the past, but Rajasthan Royals decided to bet on him last season.
His services cost them Rs. 30 lakhs, but he can do some damage with both the bat and ball. He’s known to be a good fielder as well, and thus the Royals may count on him to give his side an extra dimension.
Shreyas Gopal:

The all-rounder has been a handy player for the Royals. His stats from last season were extremely impressive, as he fetched his side 20 wickets in 14 games. He can play the role of a finisher as well but primarily the Rajasthani team will bank on him to provide breakthroughs in crucial games.
Gopal’s salary for IPL 2020 will be Rs. 20 lakhs.
Steve Smith:

The Australian batsman returned to the IPL last year after serving a year-long ban due to the ball-tampering scandal. While Smith did not have the best of seasons, he scored 319 runs last year and will definitely want to get more this season and lead his team to the title.
Smith’s salary for IPL 2020 will be Rs. 12.50 crores.
Tom Curran:

One of the picks for Rajasthan Royals’ IPL auction 2020, the 24-year-old all-rounder can be a handy death bowler and has the ability to hit the ball cleanly.
His salary for this season will be Rs. 1 crore and Curran will look to play a starring role for his team and try to make England’s squad for the upcoming 2020 T20 World Cup in Australia.
Varun Aaron:

Varun Aaron has the talent but injuries have been pulling him back from fulfilling his potential.
The 30-year-old will look to fight for his place in the team with the likes of Jaydev Unadkat, and Shreyas Gopal also in contention.
His salary for IPL 2020 will be Rs. 2.40 crores.
Yashasvi Jaiswal:

The youngster recently hit a century against Pakistan in the U19 World Cup for team India and he looks to be a shrewd addition for the Royals’.
He did cost them a fortune, Rs. 2.40 crores to be precise, but with the talent that he possesses, Jaiswal could be the next Virat Kohli for the India team.
