IPL 2020: Complete List Of Players Traded Ahead Of IPL Auction

November 14 was the last date for the franchises to announce the list of traded players and as many as four franchises confirmed the import and export of players before the auction. There were some big names who were were traded from one team to another while some uncapped players also changed teams

Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad did not trade any player and they will come up with a list released players tomorrow. The four teams who traded their players will also come out with the list of released players. Before the teams reveal the players who will be back into the auction, here’s a look at the complete list of traded players for before IPL 2020 auction –
Ravichandran Ashwin to Delhi Capitals –

R Ashwin was the first high-profile trade of the season. Kings XI Punjab traded their captain to Delhi Capitals. When Anil Kumble joined KXIP as the Director of Cricket, the team management decided to retain the veteran spinner but he himself wanted to move to Delhi. In exchange, KXIP got all-rounder Jagadeesha Suchith.
Ajinkya Rahane to Delhi Capitals –

In what came as a big surprise, Rajasthan Royals traded their captain Ajnkya Rahane to Delhi Capitals, who added yet another opener in their roster. Rahane represented Rajasthan in 100 matches across nine seasons and also led them to playoffs in IPL 2018. Though poor performances saw him being replaced as captain by Steven Smith mid-season in IPL 2019 but he was back in the role once the captain left to Australia to prepare for World Cup 2019.
Rahane and Ashwin will play under Shreyas Iyer at Delhi Capitals.
Siddhesh Lad to Kolkata Knight Riders –

Lad had first joined Mumbai Indians in IPL 2015 but didn’t get a chance in first four years with the team. He finally got his opportunity in IPL 2019 when Rohit Sharma missed a match due to an injury. Lad kicked off his IPL career with a six. The comeback of Rohit into playing XI meant Lad was dropped and he warmed the bench, again. He might get regular chances at KKR as the franchise is expected to release likes of Chris Lynn and Robin Uthappa.
Jagadeesha Suchith to Kings XI Punjab –

A mid-season signing during IPL 2019, Suchith played one match for Delhi Capitals and the franchise decided to trade him to KXIP. He is expected to get regular chances in his new franchise as Suchith was a regular in Mumbai Indians’ playing XI when Anil Kumble, now KXIP’s Director of Cricket, was associated with four-time champions. In 15 matches so far, he has 54 runs and 12 wickets.
Sherfane Rutherford to Mumbai Indians –

The West Indies batsman was traded to Mumbai in exchange for Mayank Markande. Delhi Capitals had bought him for Rs 2 Crore in IPL 2019 auction. Rutherford played seven matches for Delhi Capitals in which he scored 73 runs and scalped one wicket. He is a part of West Indies squad for ongoing Afghanistan T20Is.
Mayank Markande to Delhi Capitals to Rajasthan Royals –

As mentioned, Markande was traded to Delhi Capitals in exchange for Rutherford in July but DC changed their plans and traded him to Rajasthan Royals, along with Rahul Tewatia, in exchange for Ajinkya Rahane. Markande shone for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2018 but wasn’t a regular member in playing XI in IPL 2019.
Krishnappa Gowtham to Kings XI Punjab –

Gowtham had made his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2018 and played all matches for the franchise as well. Though his performances dipped in IPL 2019 and he mostly warmed the bench. The India A player will join his statemates Karun Nair, Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul and Suchith at KXIP.
Trent Boult to Mumbai Indians –

Boult was in line to traded to Kings XI Punjab when Ashwin joined Delhi Capitals but as per reports, the player denied. Though DC did trade him and he will join likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Lasith Malinga and others at Mumbai Indians. The team’s coaching staff also includes former New Zealand pacer, Shane Bond.
Ankit Rajpoot to Rajasthan Royals –
The only uncapped player in IPL to take a fifer, Rajpoot had joined Kings XI Punjab before IPL 2018. After two seasons, the franchise decided to trade him and he will play for Rajasthan Royals for the first time. In 12 matches for KXIP, Rajpoot scalped 14 wickets.
Dhawal Kulkarni to Mumbai Indians –

Out of favour India pacer made his homecoming after six seasons and is set to play for Mumbai Indians. He was with MI from 2008 to 2013. He then moved to Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Lions before rejoining RR upon their comeback. Kulkarni is a veteran of Mumbai cricket but might not get enough chances in IPL.
Rahul Tewatia to Rajasthan Royals –

The leg-spinner for Haryana moved to Rajasthan Royals along with Mayank Markande. He had joined Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2018 for 3 Crores and played 13 matches for them, scalping eight wickets. He has also been part of Kings XI Punjab in past.
