ToggleThe second full week of IPL 2020 is starting with a blockbuster clash – Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore will be locking horns against Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians in Dubai. The teams are coming into the match after contrasting results in their previous games.
While Mumbai Indians thrashed Kolkata Knight Riders by 49 runs, Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered a crushing 97-run defeat at the hands of Kings XI Punjab. It was a morale-crushing defeat and at a time when they are looking to bounce back, Royal Challengers Bangalore could not have asked for a tougher opposition.
The Bangalore-based outfit did well to pull off a win against Sunrisers Hyderabad but it did not take long for their age old problems to resurface. Against Kings XI, their issues over death-bowling and lower-middle order batting were completely exposed as they were all out for just 109 after conceding 206.
The upcoming game might be the one which sets the tone for Virat Kohli & Co. for the rest of the tournament. A win will provide some much-needed boost while a loss can pretty much bring back the horrific memories of previous seasons. As far as Mumbai Indians are concerned, they will be looking to make the most of the momentum.
