Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will host Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi in a double-header clash on Saturday. RCB and RR have started their campaign in the IPL 2020 in similar fashion with both teams winning two out of their three encounters but the former ahead due to superior net run rate.

RCB won their last match in a thrilling Super Over game against Mumbai Indians. Captain Virat Kohli will look to bring in his best game in the clash against Rajasthan Royals to help his side maintain their position in the top four. Let us have a look at how RCB can line up for the clash against Rajasthan Royals.

Devdutt Padikkal

Young Devdutt Padikkal made a head start to the IPL 2020 with a fine half-century. He however failed to get going against KXIP. Padikkal will look to return back to form and give his team a solid foundation with RCB face Rajasthan Royals. The southpaw has the ability to score quick runs and found the boundaries. He will look for consistency in his batting approach.

Aaron Finch

Australia limited-overs captain Aaron Finch has not looked at his best in the IPL 2020. He has struggled to bring his A game to the play. In the first match, Finch played a perfect second fiddle to Padikkal, supporting his knock. While in the second match, he was dismissed for 20 runs. Finch is yet to fire all cylinders in the IPL 2020 and RCB will expect the match against Rajasthan Royals brings out his best.

RCB captain Virat Kohli is struggling for form. He has been in thick of things for not performing with the bat and dropping key catches in the previous game. However it is a known fact that if Kohli gets going then he can single-handedly thrash an opponent. RCB will be expecting Kohli to come out good in the much-anticipated match against Rajasthan Royals. Kohli might come to bat at his usual No.3 slot or drop down the order depending upon the need of the team.

AB de Villiers

South African batsman AB de Villiers carries the onus of the RCB side along side Kohli. De Villiers has played a couple of cameo knocks in the previous matches for RCB. But the franchise will expect him to play longer innings. The former South African captain, also known as Mr.360, has every shots in his textbook and will look to execute the same to benefit his side.

Josh Philippe caught attention with his quick-fire knocks in the Big Bash League (BBL). The Australian is touted to be the next big thing in the limited-overs and often been said to be the next Steve Smith. Philippe however has not reflected it through his performances in the IPL 2020. He is yet to unleash his best potential for the RCB.

Washington Sundar

RCB all-rounder Washington Sundar contributed with a 30-run knock in the previous match but failed to pick up any wicket. Sundar will be a key for RCB in the middle-order to get among the scoresheet. The Bangalore franchise will also expect him to score crucial runs in the middle.

Shivam Dube

Shivam Dube with his high backlift can clear the ground. But he has not quite found the momentum for RCB in this season. Dube picked up two wickets in the previous match but scored only 12 runs. It is important for him to fire lower down the order to help his side add depth to their batting attack.

Umesh Yadav

Experienced Indian fast bowler Umesh Yadav has struggled for form in the IPL 2020. He is one of the key fast bowlers for RCB squad but has not delivered as per expectations. Yadav has conceded too many runs for the Bangalore franchise but will look to come up with a much-improved game in the upcoming match against Rajasthan Royals.

Navdeep Saini will carry the onus of picking up early wickets for RCB in the IPL 2020. The fast bowler will look to make the most of his ability in the match and derail the Royals batting line-up. If Saini gets going then RCB can be at the top with their performance.

Dale Steyn

Veteran South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn is not at his usual best. He has lost his touch and not as effective as he used to be. Steyn has also not come in handy for the RCB bowling line-up but his presence is a morale booster for the side.

Yuzvendra Chahal

Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal will play the most vital role in RCB bowling attack. In the slow pitches in UAE, Chahal has proved to be a match-winner and will look to deceive the Mumbai Indians batsmen with his spin.
