IPL 2020: Match 19: Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Delhi Capitals: Match Prediction

The 19th match of the Dream11 IPL 2020 will see Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore [RCB] square off against the Delhi Capitals [DC] at the Dubai International Stadium in what is a battle between the two most consistent sides in the competition thus far.

Both Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals have been in brilliant form in the tournament thus far. They have won three of their first four encounters and they are the only sides who have dropped just one game in this IPL. As of now, Delhi Capitals are at the numero-uno spot in the points table followed by Kohli’s Royal Challengers.

 

Who will triumph between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore?

Delhi Capitals will come into this game on the back of a brilliant 18-run-win over Kolkata Knight Rider in what was another run-fest in Sharjah. Shreyas Iyer’s belligerent 88 not-out and yet another half-century by Prithvi Shaw were the cornerstone behind DC smashing 4-227 in 20 overs. And, then it was their all-round bowling-unit- led by their pacers in Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje who led the way with the ball despite the late onslaught from Eoin Morgan and Rahul Tripathi.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, completed a dominant win over Rajasthan Royals in the last game thanks to a brilliant 99-run-partnership between Devdutt Padikkal and skipper Virat Kohli. Padikkal once again impressed with his solid strokeplay and steely temperament as he notched up his 3rd half-century of the season while Virat Kohli signaled a comeback to form with an unbeaten 72 to steer his side to victory.

Both sides have been brilliant thus far but if there is one department where Delhi Capitals trumps RCB is the death-bowling department. RCB’s death-bowling was decent in the last game against RR but it could once again come under severe scrutiny while defending a target, as it did during the game against the Mumbai Indians, which also took place in Dubai.
