The caravan of the Dream11 IPL rolls on and the 21st match will see Chennai Super Kings [CSK] lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders [KKR] at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

This will be the first time that CSK will be playing in Abu Dhabi post their victory against the Mumbai Indians in the opening game of the IPL. Since then a lot of water has flown under the bridge for the former champions. Post that victory, the MS Dhoni-led unit slumped to a three-match losing streak for the first time since the 2014 season.

In the wake of those defeats, questions had started to galore on around the make-up of their batting-unit, given the fact that none of their experienced batsmen barring Faf du Plessis had displayed any sort of form or for that matter, intent.

But just as people were starting to write off the former champions, the Super Kings, riding on a swashbuckling 181-run-stand between Shane Watson [83*] and Faf du Plessis [87*] roared back with disdain, smashing Kings XI Punjab by 10 wickets.

Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, are coming off a defeat at the hands of Delhi Capitals, post which questions have once again started to galore on the make of their batting-unit. Sunil Narine has struggled consistently as an opener and the decision to bat him up the order despite having a specialist opener in Rahul Tripathi in the playing 11, raised a lot of eyebrows.

But considering the fact that Dinesh Karthik and KKR mentor, David Hussey, comprehensively backed their decision to bat Narine at the top suggests that the experiment is set to continue in the upcoming games. Also, skipper Dinesh Karthik’s decision to slot himself ahead of Eoin Morgan, who has been in sensational form this season, has come under a lot of scrutiny. Will KKR finally sort out their batting-unit against CSK?

IPL 2020: Match 21: Kolkata Knight Riders Vs Chennai Super Kings: Match Prediction

Chennai Super Kings have an overall advantage of 14-8 against Kolkata Knight Riders. The MS Dhoni-led unit won both of their games against KKR last season and given the fact that the track in Abu Dhabi– slow and sluggish– is ideally suited to CSK’s style of play, backing the Chennai Super Kings to come out trumps against the Knight Riders
