We have reached the halfway mark of the Dream11 IPL 2020 and just like every other season, things are beginning to heat up.

The 30th game of the 13th season will see Delhi Capitals square-off against Rajasthan Royals in Dubai on Wednesday.

Rajasthan Royals finally shrugged off their four-match losing streak courtesy a whirlwind heist by the duo of Riyan Parag and that man again, Rahul Tewatia in the last game against SunRisers Hyderabad to once again breath life in their fledgling campaign.

That said, not all that is hunky-dory for the Royals and if they need to assert themselves as serious contenders, their top-order- Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, Steve Smith- will have to step-up and provide good starts to their team.

First of all, Rajasthan Royals will have sort out their batting-order, and especially their opening pair. From Yashasvi Jaiswal to Steve Smith to even Ben Stokes, Jos Butter has had multiple opening partners in the past few games, creating instability in their batting-unit.

The fact that a top-order batter like Robin Uthappa batted at No.5 in the last game and a middle-order specialist like Ben Stokes opened the innings is enough evidence of the muddled mindset of the Smith-led team-management.

Another issue that Rajasthan Royals will be worried about is the fact that none of the pacers barring Jofra Archer have performed consistently, which has led to consistent chop and change. Also the fact that Shreyas Gopal is struggling to pick up wickets could force the management to try out Mayank Markande.

Will Rishabh Pant’s injury affect Delhi Capitals performance in the upcoming games?

Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, are comfortably placed at the 2nd spot in the points table after having notched up five wins in 7 games.

They, however, have been plagued with injuries, which led to disruption of the winning combination against Mumbai Indians in the last game as they were forced to rope in Ajinkya Rahane and Alex Carey for the injured Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer.

Pant is out for atleast a week and it will be interesting to see how the Capitals acclimatize to the new playing combination.
