Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will host Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the IPL 2020 contest at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Thursday. RCB displayed an all-round performance in their previous match against KKR to register a big win. The victory helped them grab third spot in IPL 2020 points table while KXIP are still languishing at the bottom.

One win will take them closer to sealing IPL 2020 playoffs. The big positive for the Bangalore franchise is that AB de Villiers looked in fine touch in the previous game while Virat Kohli played the role of a perfect second fiddle in their match-winning stand. The bowling department will continue to rely heavily on fast bowler Navdeep Saini and spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.

KXIP have been virtually knocked out of the tournament. The franchise have been largely dependent on their openers Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul with others failing to fire consistently. Nicholas Pooran has shown his temperament in bits and pieces but needs to be more consistent. Mohammed Shami and Ravi Bishnoi will remain the key for KXIP with the ball.

IPL 2020 Match 31: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kings XI Punjab: Weather Report

The major concern playing in the UAE will be heat. A lot of foreign players are not habituated to playing in such conditions. However, local Indian players might tackle the heat as they have played under such conditions in the sub-continent.

The weather on the match day is predicted to remain around 32 to 27 degree celsius. As the day, progresses, the temperature might give slight relief to the players who are in for an evening start with the match.

Toss also becomes a major concern in the IPL 2020 due to this situation even though in the shortest format it doesn’t plays a big role. Humidity during the latter part of the match makes it difficult for the bowlers to grip the ball. The season has so far seen that the team’s batting first have won most number of matches.
