Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals will be desperate for a win to keep their slim playoff hopes alive when they lock horns in the 37th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.

With 3 wins from 9 games each, both the teams are languishing at the last two spots in the points table. While Royals are eighth, Chennai Super Kings are seventh because of a better net run-rate. Interestingly, the teams in the fifth and sixth spots have also three wins from 9 games.

So a win tonight will put the teams in contention for the playoffs while a defeat will all but seal their fate. Both the teams are coming into this game on the back of defeats in their previous outings. Chennai Super Kings had lost to Delhi Capitals in their last outing when Ravindra Jadeja failed to defend 16 runs in the final over.

On the other hand, Royals had suffered a seven-wicket loss at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Steve Smith-led side had failed to defend 35 runs in the final two overs against RCB. With a lot at stake tonight, both the sides will be looking to rectify their mistakes and come up with a good performance.
