The left-hander Padikkal has played all 12 games for RCB — and has been a phenomenon at the top of the order for RCB keeping an experienced player like Parthiv Patel on the bench. He has scored 417 runs – just seven behind skipper Virat Kohli – at an average of 34 with four half-centuries.
