CSK skipper MS Dhoni has finally revealed as to where it all went wrong for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). KKR and CSK locked horns in match 21 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, wherein, KKR beat CSK by 10 runs.

Batting first, Kolkata Knight Riders put up a total of 167 runs in their 20 overs. Rahul Tripathi, the young Indian batsman, opened for the Knight Riders for the first time and the move worked wonders for the team as he finished as the top-scorer for KKR in their innings with a gritty knock of 81 runs in 51 balls.

MS Dhoni Opens Up On CSK’s Loss To KKR

Speaking in the post-match presentation, MS Dhoni said, “In the middle overs there was a phase where they bowled 2-3 good overs. If we batted better, and didn’t lose 2-3 wickets in a row,. We should’ve been careful in the first 5-6 overs.”

“Curran was really good with the ball, and I think we did well in general with the ball, but the batsmen let the bowlers down today,” he added.

MS Dhoni Speaks About Improvizing In The Coming Fixtures

“Rotation of strike was important, but I think there were hardly any boundaries in the final few overs, so we need to be innovative at the end when they are continuously hitting a back of a length. That’s where we need to adapt better with the bat and I don’t think we did that,” MS Dhoni further stated.
