Veteran Indian cricket analyst, Aakash Chopra has sarcastically taken aim at the Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli, for his poor decisions in the game against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). Aakash Chopra even went on to say that MS Dhoni is a smarter captain and he won’t commit the mistakes that Virat did in the previous game.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have been in a good run in IPL 2020 so far. Out of the 8 games played so far, RCB have won 5 of them and are enjoying the 3rd spot in the points table. However, in their previous game, they lost the match to Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by 8 wickets and ever since then, Virat Kohli has been under fire for some of his decisions.

One particular decision that has backfired massively was the demotion of AB de Villiers in the batting line up even after him performing exceptionally well in the last to last game against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Aakash Chopra Takes Aim At Virat Kohli

Fans and experts alike have bashed Kohli right and left ever since he decided to demote AB de Villiers, who has been the backbone of the RCB batting line up for so many years.

Speaking in a video shared on his Twitter account, Aakash Chopra said, “Faf du Plessis is expected to have a good game against Delhi Capitals (DC). Faf has had a string of low scores in the previous games and it doesn’t happen too often with Faf. He has played some bad shots in the recent games and has been dismissed but I doubt that this will take place against DC.”

“Faf might open the innings for CSK as Delhi have Axar Patel in their ranks who has had an incredible record against Shane Watson. These days, just to avoid matchups, AB de Villiers is demoted down the batting order. But I believe that MS Dhoni won’t commit the same mistakes that Virat Kohli did and Faf du Plessis will have a very good game against Delhi Capitals,” Chopra added.

Delhi Capitals will take on Chennai Super Kings in match 34 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) at the Sharjah International Cricket Stadium on Saturday. While Delhi have had a fantastic run in the tournament so far, Chennai have been back to winning ways in their last game. Chennai will look to solidify their position from hereon by winning comprehensively in this match.
