Veteran Indian world cup hero, Chetan Sharma, has torn apart CSK leg spinner Piyush Chawla for his horrendous bowling figures against Rajasthan Royals on Matchday 4 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). Chennai Super Kings suffered a miserable loss by the hands of Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match 4 of IPL 2020 as they lost the tie by 16 runs.

A lot of questions were raised on MS Dhoni’s captaincy in the game after he took some unconventional decisions that led to the CSK loss. One of them was backing up Piyush Chawla in the game and leaving out the experienced Imran Tahir in the dugout. Chawla, who was one of the worst performers on the night, leaked away 55 runs in his 4 overs, picking only 1 wicket.

After his performance against RR, Piyush Chawla has been under a lot of fire from fans and cricketers alike. Now, India’s hat-trick hero in the 1987 world cup, Chetan Sharma, has also raised questions on Chawla’s performance on the night.

Chetan Sharma Hilariously Trolls Piyush Chawla

Speaking on the build-up of the Chennai-Delhi game to CricketAddictor, Chetan Sharma said, “Piyush Chawla wasn’t able to finish his overs the other night against Rajasthan. Had he bowled all his overs to Sanju Samson, he would have leaked close to 110 runs and would have created a world record for leaking the most number of runs in 4 overs.”

“CSK will have to look after a balanced team combination. Their dugout is full of players like Josh Hazlewood, Imran Tahir, and Shardul Thakur. They will have to choose a perfect team combination to minimize their errors,” Chetan Sharma added.

On the other hand, CSK had a good opening day as they beat Mumbai Indians (MI) in their first match of IPL 2020. However, they had a shameful defeat by the hands of Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their second game as they lost the match by 16 runs.
