IPL 2020 has turned out to be close race to the finish line. Defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) are the only team to have sealed their spot in the playoffs while Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are out of the race. IPL 2020 has entered the fag end of the tournament.

Let us see how the franchises can qualify to the IPL 2020 Play-offs:

Royal Challengers Bangalore have looked like a formidable side and are within touching distance to qualify. They are currently in the second spot of the IPL 2020 points table and one win from the remaining two matches will be enough to help them qualify.

Delhi Capitals have had a brilliant season with the pack of youngsters but have failed to find their composure in their previous games. The capital franchise have incidentally lost their last three matches but one win from the last two game can assure them a spot in the IPL 2020 playoffs.

Kings XI Punjab:

KXIP roared back to the race with four consecutive victories before losing to Rajasthan Royals on Friday. The Punjab franchise will have to rely on the performances of other teams to find a spot in the IPL 2020 playoffs. They also need to clinch a big win in their last match and expect Kolkata Knight Riders, SunRisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals to not have similar fate.

Rajasthan Royals:

Rajasthan Royals have kept themselves alive with their win over KXIP in the previous game. But they have little hopes especially due to their poor Net Run Rate. The Jaipur franchise will expect to clinch a big win in their next match to have an outside chance to make it to the IPL 2020 playoffs. But the situation seems unlikely.

Kolkata Knight Riders:

Kolkata Knight Riders have slumped their way out of the top four in the points table with KXIP taking their spot. They are in a battle of survival with three defeats from their last four games. If KKR win their last match by big margin and KXIP and SRH subsequently lose their next games then they can qualify for the playoffs.

SunRisers Hyderabad are alive in the race to IPL 2020 playoffs with their massive win in their last game. SRH have a chance of qualifying if they win both their matches. The team will also have an advantage of superior Net Run Rate if they tie on the points tally with KXIP and KKR or RR.
