Kings XI Punjab’s misery in the Dream11 IPL 2020 reached a new low on Thursday after they suffered yet another mauling- their 4th in a row- thanks to a clinical all-round performance by SunRisers Hyderabad [SRH], who by virtue of a 69-run-win have leapfrogged both CSK, RCB, and KKR to take third spot in the points table.
KXIP had made three changes to their playing 11 following a ten-wicket defeat against Chennai Super Kings but for the better part of SRH’s innings, it did not bring any change to their fortunes as the duo of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow smashed their attack to all corners of the Dubai International Stadium.

While Warner completed his 9th consecutive half-century against Kings XI Punjab, his partner Jonny Bairstow blazed his way to 55-ball 97- an innings which included seven fours and six brutal sixes. The duo racked up a 160-run-stand before rookie Ravi Bishnoi [3-29] dismissed them in the same over to stage some sort of recovery for his team.
Following the dismissal of the openers, SRH suffered a collapse as they lost 5-16 but Abhishek Sharma [12 off 6] and Kane Williamson [20 off 10 balls] ensured that their side got a strong finish in the end as they posted 6-201 in 20 overs.
Unfortunately, no one really supported Pooran, who scored 58 percent of what the total runs scored by Punjab [132] as an all-round bowling performance-led by Rashid Khan’s brilliant spell of 3-12 [4 overs], some brilliant piece of fielding by Priyam Garg, and some poor batting by KXIP batsmen, helped SRH to their third-biggest [by 69 runs] IPL win.
Here’s how IPL 2020 points table is shaping up after SRH’s 69-run-win over KXIP-
