The coach of the India National Cricket Team, Ravi Shastri, has heaped praise on RCB pacer Mohammed Siraj after the latter pulled off a magical spell against KKR on Wednesday. Siraj claimed one of the best figures by a fast bowler in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to hand Royal Challengers Bangalore their 7th win of the IPL 2020 campaign.

Mohammed Siraj also broke a number of records in the process, which includes being the first bowler in IPL history to bowl two consecutive maiden overs. Siraj finished his four overs claiming 3 wickets and giving away just 8 runs. He also bowled a couple of maiden overs. It was due to his efforts that KKR could manage only 84 runs in the first innings, one of their lowest-ever total.

Siraj’s performance helped RCB claim their 7th victory of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League. RCB have now gone on the second spot in the IPL 2020 points table and next up, they will face the mighty Mumbai Indians (MI). Both the teams were involved in a super over clash the last time that they met each other.

KKR, on the other hand, have all the reasons to worry as although this loss didn’t hamper their position in the points table, other teams in the bottom half will surely look to capitalize on KKR’s loss. KKR will now take on Delhi Capitals (DC), the table-toppers of IPL 2020.
