Former Indian cricketer and veteran cricket analyst, Aakash Chopra has said that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have a good chance of winning the IPL 2020 title. Aakash Chopra is currently in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as he is in the official broadcasting team of this year’s cash-rich league.

RCB, on the other hand, have had a decent start in IPL 2020 this year. They won their opening game of the season against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 10 runs. However, they were shocked in the second game by Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) as they were beaten by a huge margin of 97 runs as the RCB bowlers looked out of shape in the game.

On Matchday 10 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020), RCB took on Mumbai Indians (MI) in one of the grandest games of the tournament.

MI won the toss and elected to field first. The decision, however, backfired, as the RCB batsmen were in great form today and looked to attack the Mumbai bowlers from the first go. The RCB openers smashed 59 runs in the first powerplay and eventually, the team finished with a total of 201/3 after the end of the first innings.

Impressed by the Bangalore batsmen, Aakash Chopra took to Twitter and wrote, Shivam Dube….10 ball 27. Best part about 201/3 from #RCB is that it’s achieved without Kohli’s contribution. Something you couldn’t imagine last few seasons…for this very reason I feel they have good chance this season. Over the bowlers now.”

Chopra was full of praise for the Royals of Bangalore when the first innings came to a close and believes RCB have a good chance of winning the IPL title this year.  Bangalore have been a part of the Indian Premier League since the inception of the competition way back in 2008. However, they have failed to win the title on any occasion so far.

The closest they came to the title was way back in IPL 2009, IPL 2011, and IPL 2016 when they reached the final of the tournament but failed to capitalize on the opportunity all the three times.
