IPL 2020: Rohit Sharma's Tweet For KL Rahul Causes Storm As Fans Say He Took A Shot At Virat Kohli

Rohit Sharma’s latest tweet for KL Rahul has caused yet another storm as fans think he took a shot at Virat Kohli. It all happened after Rohit Sharma took to Twitter to praise Rahul for his century in the ongoing match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab.
KL Rahul, on Thursday, became the first player to hit a century in IPL 2020 as he powered Kings XI Punjab to a massive 206 for 3 in the allotted 20 overs. The right-handed batsman smashed 132 not out off just 69 balls. His stunning knock was studded with 14 fours and seven sixes.
Rahul shifted gears from the 19th over. In the penultimate over, he smashed Dale Steyn for 26 runs and reached his second IPL century in that very over. He finished the innings on a great note by smashing his India teammate Shivam Dube for a four and two sixes on the final three balls.
His 132 is now the highest score ever by a captain and an Indian in the history of the league. During the course of the innings, he also became the fastest to 2,000 runs in IPL.
A dig at Virat Kohli:
It was a day to forget for Virat Kohli. Before Rahul shifted gears and scored his century, he was dropped twice by Virat Kohli. After the costly drops, Rahul went on to smash 42 runs off just 9 deliveries. And as if those twin drops and conceding the big total was not enough, Virat Kohli failed with the bat too as he scored just 1.
And as soon as he got out, his India teammate Rohit Sharma took to Twitter to lavish praise on Rahul which has convinced many fans that the Mumbai Indians captain took a shot at the RCB captain. The timing of Rohit Sharma’s tweet is raising eyebrows.
He took to Twitter to praise Rahul as soon as Kohli got out even though the Kings XI Punjab skipper had scored his century around half-an-hour ago.

And as soon as Rohit Sharma posted the tweet, the fans were quick to react to it with most of them saying that it was a dig from the India vice-captain at his captain. It should be remembered that there was rumours of rift between Kohli and Rohit last year.
