Master-blaster Sachin Tendulkar has raised questions on the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) management for not including Chris Gayle in the scheme of things so far. Chris Gayle made his IPL 2020 debut on Thursday as Kings XI Punjab took on Royal Challengers Bangalore in match 31 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020).

Kings XI Punjab cruised to an 8-wicket victory in the game after Chris Gayle and KL Rahul scored scintillating half-centuries in the game. Gayle played his first game in IPL 2020 after 7 matches and there were constant questions on the KXIP management for benching him even when they were lurking in the bottom half of the points table.

Gayle silenced all his critics and once again proved what he is capable of by scoring a half-century returning from the hospital only a few days ago.

After the game, master-blaster Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to express his happiness over Gayle’s performance and raised questions as to why he was benched out for so long.

The ‘God of Cricket’ took to Twitter and wrote, Good to see  @henrygayle back and scoring a wonderful 53. Wonder what @lionsdenkxip were thinking by leaving him out all this while.”

This is Punjab’s second win of IPL 2020 so far in their first 8 matches. Kings XI Punjab will now have to win all their remaining group games to enter the knockout stages. They are currently on the bottom of the IPL 2020 points table and will certainly look to rise through the ranks in the coming games.
