After two losses on the bounce, SunRisers Hyderabad churned out their first victory of IPL 2020 against Delhi Capitals. It was their much-vaunted bowling line-up that came together to defend a competitive total of 162, which arrived on the back of a satisfying batting performance. It was indeed integral to their morale moving forward.

They will now face Chennai Super Kings in their fourth game in Dubai. The MS Dhoni-led franchise is also in a similar boat; however, lead the head to head battle between the two side. CSK could take heart from that; however, it might not matter much, considering that their star players are vastly out of form. Hence, it is a crucial game for both teams.

We take a look at SunRisers Hyderabad’s predicted XI ahead of their IPL 2020 game against CSK:

David Warner amassed his highest score of this season so far against Delhi Capitals, making 45 off 31 deliveries as the opening pair managed a stand of 77. The SunRisers’s skipper also marshalled his troops well to defend a total of 162 to pick their first victory of this year. The southpaw would be looking forward to carrying his form and make a big score.

Jonny Bairstow:

Jonny Bairstow was the top run-scorer for the SunRisers in the game against Delhi Capitals, scoring 53 off 48 deliveries. It was a knock, which was very much unlike Jonny Bairstow as he was able to find the boundary only thrice. He got dismissed only in the 18th over while repeatedly trying to cut loose.

Manish Pandey:

Manish Pandey began his tournament brilliantly, playing some enterprising shots against RCB. However, he failed in the next two games as the right-handed batsman could not capitalise on the opportunities. SRH need more from their domestic star batsman in the middle order.

Kane Williamson:

Kane Williamson, who played in his first match of IPL 2020 against Delhi Capitals, provided the flourish that SunRisers Hyderabad needed in the slog overs. Kane Williamson built a stand of 52 along with Jonny Bairstow in only 38 balls that was significant in catapulting them to 162. He scored 41 off 26 deliveries, laced with five boundaries and will once again be crucial.

Abdul Samad:

Abdul Samad debuted in the match against Delhi Capitals and made a highly promising start. Abdul Samad carted Anrich Nortje for a boundary and six, finishing unbeaten at 12 off seven deliveries, providing some valuable runs. Samad, who became the third player from Jammu & Kashmir, will keep his place.

Abhishek Sharma:

Abhishek Sharma will be one of the all-rounders in the team, who is highly capable of producing the big shots in the lower-order. While bowling against Delhi Capitals, Abhishek Sharma could not get a wicket; however, he was reasonably economical. It is unlikely that SRH would replace him for now.

Priyam Garg:

With Manish Pandey struggling for form, Hyderabad could promote Priyam Garg up the order to see how he fares. India’s U-19 captain began promisingly against RCB in the side’s first game; however, was under pressure, given the match situation. Garg did not bat against Delhi Capitals and will most likely retain his spot.

Rashid Khan:

Rashid Khan secured the man of the match award against Delhi Capitals, producing a bowling spell of 4-0-14-3. Rashid Khan plucked the wickets of Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishabh Pant, all of whom he dismissed at crucial junctures. With the leggie now finding form, he would be looking forward to producing some consistency.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar:

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was one of the most economical bowlers against Delhi Capitals, delivering a spell of 4-0-25-2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar produced the wickets of Prithvi Shaw and Shimron Hetmyer to get things up and running. The 30-year old seamer would be looking forwards to adopting more consistency.

T Natrajan:

T Natrajan was one of the shining stars for the SunRisers Hyderabad as he delivered a brilliant spell of death bowling via consistent yorkers. T Natrajan finished with bowling figures of 4-0-25-1, taking the wicket of the dangerous Marcus Stoinis.

Khaleel Ahmed:

Khaleel Ahmed was the most expensive bowler against Delhi Capitals, ending with bowling figures of 4-0-43-1. It was only in the final over that Khaleel Ahmed got a wicket in the form of Axar Patel, which was after going for two fours and three sixes. However, SRH will likely persist with him.
