From Sachin Tendulkar To Daren Sammy: Twitter Goes Wild As KL Rahul Scores Sensational Century Against RCB

KL Rahul has further enhanced his reputation as one of the best T20 batsmen in the world by scoring a stunning century in the ongoing game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Kings XI Punjab led from the very front as he opened the innings and remained till the end to help his side post a big total of 206 for 3.

KL Rahul, who made his debut as captain in the last match, could not score big in the previous game as he was out for 21 before failing to deliver in the subsequent super over. However, he did not take long to bounce back as the highest-ranked Indian T20I batsman scored his first ton as captain. He remained unbeaten on 132 off just 69 balls.

He reached his century off 62 balls in the 19th over of Kings XI Punjab’s innings bowled by veteran Dale Steyn. After dispatching the first ball for a six, he hit the next one for a four to reach the triple-digit mark. And as if those two boundaries were not enough, he went on to hit the South African for two more sixes and a four.

In the final over of the innings, he took Shivam Dube to the cleaners too, hitting his India teammate for two sixes and a four on the last three balls. Overall, it was his second century in IPL. He also scored his highest score in IPL, surpassing the previous best knock of 100 not out.

His 132-run knock also saw him become the captain with highest score in IPL. KL Rahul’s breathtaking knock was studded with 14 fours and 7 sixes. And as soon as he reached his century, the cricket fraternity took to Twitter to laud him for his knock.
