IPL 2021: Suresh Raina Shares View From His "Balcony" After Entering Quarantine In UAE

Former Indian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings stalwart Suresh Raina took to his Instagram account on Friday to post the view from the balcony of his hotel room after reaching the United Arab Emirates.

Chennai Super Kings, on Friday, became the first franchise to touch down UAE- the venue for the second phase of the 14th Indian Premier League.

The second phase will kick off in the UAE on September 17 with three-time champions Chennai Super Kings will lock horns with fierce rivals and defending champions, Mumbai Indians at the Dubai International Stadium.

The last time Chennai Super Kings reached the Emirates country, Suresh Raina and hotel balcony became the most trending words on social media after ‘Mr. IPL’ decided to quit the 13th season and returned home.

Following Raina’s surprising exit from the 13th season of the IPL, reported emerged in the media that Raina wasn’t happy with the room and balcony that he was a allotted in comparison to MS Dhoni.

Matter escalated when CSK chief N Srinivasan gave an explosive interview where he ripped into Raina.

However, Srinivasan quickly changed his tone and Raina too shrugged off the speculations, stating that the reason behind him quitting the tournament was the unfortunate murderers of his close relatives in an incident in Kashmir.

Raina returned to his IPL home earlier this year for the 14th season where he managed just 123 runs in 7 games at a strike rate of 126.80.

The southpaw will hope for better returns in the second phase as CSK aim to win their fourth IPL title.
