CSK batter Ruturaj Gaikwad has urged the locals from Pune to come out and support his team as the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be looking to add another win to their kitty in the ongoing IPL 2022, when they face off against Gujarat Titans on Sunday, 17 April in the MCA stadium in Pune.

Gujarat Titans are at the top of the IPL 2022 points table with 4 wins from five matches, while CSK has won just one out of their five games, a win coming against Royal Challengers Bangalore after they had lost their first four matches in the ongoing tournament.

The defending champions have already been dealt a huge blow in the IPL 2022 as their premier pacer Deepak Chahar, who was bought in the IPL 2022 mega auction for INR 14 crores, has been ruled out of cricket for three months including the whole of the IPL 2022 edition.

He suffered a fresh back injury while rehabbing at the NCA for his quad tear, he had suffered during the West Indies T20I series at home.

In 2018 When The Chennai Team Came To Play, I Cheered For Them. Now It Is Your Chance To Support Us: Ruturaj Gaikwad Tells Pune Cricket Fans

Ruturaj Gaikwad will be playing in front of his home crowd in Pune, as he was born in the metro city of Maharashtra. He also plays for Maharashtra in the Indian domestic cricket and hence ahead of the crunch game against Gujarat Titans, he urged the Pune people to come to the MCA Stadium in Pune and support the Chennai Super Kings team.

“In 2018 when the Chennai team came to play their match in Pune, I was also a part of the fans who cheered them, going to the stadium. This year you’ll have the chance, not sure when the next chance will come. So whenever possible, do come out and support us,” Gaikwad said.

Gaikwad himself will like to get back in form and strengthen his case for the Indian national team, as he has not had a good outing in the IPL 2022 so far with the highest score of 17 and 35 runs in total.
