IPL 2018: Injured Deepak Chahar Ruled Out for Minimum Two Weeks

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fast bowler Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the Vivo Indian Premier League’s (IPL) 11th edition for a minimum period of two weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury.
Super Kings’ head coach Stephen Fleming confirmed the news soon after the completion of the game. An announcement in particular came following the clash between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Super Kings at the Maharastra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune.
Indians registered an eight-wicket victory in the end with a couple of deliveries to spare. They needed a win badly and that coming against a strong opposition like Chennai will surely give them the confidence as the tournament progresses.
The young 24-year-old bowler Chahar sustained the hamstring injury during the third over of Mumbai’s innings. He had to immediately leave the field and was unable to return for the rest of the match.
Exciting bowler Deepak Chahar has been part of the Super Kings XI in all matches.
The youngster has been an impressive performer for the two-time champions and has bagged six wickets in the tournament so far.
Chahar’s best spell came against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) where he returned with figures of three for 20 in his four overs spell. He has bagged wickets at an impressive average of 23.17.

Chennai has been plagued with injuries from the start of the tournament. Kedar Jadhav could play only one match and had to miss the rest of the tournament after sustaining an injury.
Despite his injury, his heroics in the final over of the opening match against Rohit Sharma-led Indians helped his franchise register a sensational victory in the season opener.
Suresh Raina also missed the first IPL game in his career so far.
However, the middle-order batter has recovered well in time. The left-handed batsman has returned to the playing XI in the last three matches.
Chennai has looked in some exceptional form in the tournament so far and has registered five victories from seven matches. They lost to Indians which ended their winning run.
