IPL 2018: Harbhajan Singh Slams Religious Fanatic on Twitter

The social-media boom has brought the cricketers and fans closer than ever. The platforms have helped the players remain in touch with their fans. As a result, the fans remain updated with their beloved players’ day-to-day activities. But while the role of social media in bridging the gap between the celebrities and fans is much-appreciated, sometimes the closeness turns out to be a bane. Veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh experienced something similar recently.

In the previous edition, the Punjab-based bowler represented reigning champions Mumbai Indians. He turned out to be a vital cog in the wheel of a Mumbai-based team.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star is one of the most active cricketers on Twitter, always giving his views on different topics and keeping his fans updated with his life.

As such, he posted a funny video of himself doing a prank with his teammate Dwayne Bravo along with Murali Vijay.

Not surprisingly, the fans were amused to see the cricketers having fun.

However, one of the fans was not impressed with Harbhajan wearing a cap instead of the Turban. And he ended up giving advise to the veteran off-spinner.

The tweet, however, did not go down well with Harbhajan Singh and he ended up giving the fan a dressing down on Twitter.

However, the ace spinner later deleted the tweet.

Coming to his performance so far, the 37-year old is having a lukewarm season so far.

In seven games so far, he has managed to pick up only four wickets.

On the other hand, Super Kings are flying high in their comeback season. They are currently second in the table with six wins in nine games.
