The Hulk – the fictional superhero was trending on Sunday night, not because of Marvel and Bruce Banner, but because Marcus Stoinis had a phenomenal night with bat and ball. Stoinis was seen passionately celebrating his three wickets, resembling the Hulk, and then he took the action figure of the Avenger with him in the post-match presentation ceremony as well.
Delhi Capitals made into their maiden IPL final after they defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 17 runs. Prithvi Shaw was benched owing to his appalling form, and Marcus Stoinis was promoted to open the batting.

The Australian was destructive at the top in the Big Bash League (BBL) earlier in the year for Melbourne Stars, which tempted coach Ricky Ponting to make this decision. He was the leading run-scorer of the tournament with 705 runs and took his team to the final.
As Ajinkya Rahane was shoved down the order, Marcus Stoinis 0pened the batting with Shikhar Dhawan. The right-hander took a few balls to set his eye in. He also got a reprieve when Jason Holder spilt a tough catch. Stoinis then teed off smashing a couple of boundaries of Sandeep Sharma and then taking 18 runs from a Jason Holder over. He quickly raced to 38 from 27 balls before being dismissed by Rashid Khan.
Stoinis’ stellar show continued as he picked as he took wickets of Priyam Garg and Manish Pandey in his first over. The burly all-rounder picked the important wicket of Kane Williamson, which almost buried the game, in the 17th over.
The Hulk is an inspiration for Marcus Stoinis

After the match, Marcus Stoinis was seen carrying the Hulk action figurine. In a video uploaded by the official Twitter handle of the IPL, he is chatting with skipper Shreyas Iyer. When asked about the fondness for the Hulk, the 31-year-old said that apparently, he looks like the green giant while he is celebrating his wickets.
Stoinis displayed aggressive emotions after castling Priyam Garg. He had his veins popping out from his forearms, eyes broadened, screaming on top of his voice, and fists punching the air. The man from Perth was at his best in the IPL.
The Capitals will meet the Mumbai Indians in the final on Tuesday in Dubai. DC has lost thrice to MI this season, and it all boils down to one final game.
