Virat Kohli, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper, had said after a clinical win against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) that it was his sides’ ‘most complete performance’ in the 2020 IPL thus far.

Guess, Kohli will have to place that performance on the second spot after the manner in which RCB just demolished Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Sharjah on Monday night.

After yet another AB de Villiers masterclass that saw the former South Africa captain smoke the Knight Riders bowling attack during his 33-ball 73- an innings which included five fours and six sixes- RCB’s bowling unit led by the spin duo of Washington Sundar (2-20) and Yuzvendra Chahal (1-12 in 4 over just completely blew away the power-packed Knight Riders’ batting-unit.

KKR were never really in the run-chase as they continued to lose wickets on a consistent basis during the middle-overs. Washington Sundar was once again brilliant and it was the pressure that he created with consistent dot balls that proceeded to create hara-kiri among the top-order as they went on to lose 4-13 between the 8-12 over mark to fall behind the eight-ball.

Andre Russell smashed Isuru Udana for two fours and a six but the left-arm fast bowler had the last laugh as he induced the swashbuckler in a false stroke in the same over to effectively kill the run-chase.

Thanks to an 82-run-win, RCB has not only claimed the 3rd spot in the points table but they have also significantly improved their NRR. KKR, on the other hand, remains at the 4th spot but their net run-rate has taken a heavy beating.

Here’s how IPL 2020 points table is looking after RCB’s dominant win over KKR-
