There was a lot of movement in the points table on the first double-header day of Dream11 IPL 2020 as Delhi Capitals [DC] and Royal Challengers Banglore [RCB] completed fine victories over Kolkata Knight Riders [KKR] and Rajasthan Royals respectively to further solidify their position in this year’s competition.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore [RCB] enjoyed a dominant eight-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals [RR] thanks to an all-round bowling performance-spearheaded by Yuzvendra Chahal, who claimed a three-wicket-haul, and a brilliant 99-run-stand between Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli- both of whom scored brilliant half-centuries.

RCB skyrocketed their way to the top of the points table but their stay at the numero-uno spot lasted for a few hours as Delhi Capitals [DC] leapfrogged them following a brilliant 18-run-win over KKR in what was another six-hitting fest at Sharjah.

The Capitals innings was spearheaded by the duo of Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer. While Shaw scored his second half-century of the season, Iyer played his first inning of substance this season and it turned out to be a monstrous knock as the right-hander scored his fastest T20 fifty, en-route to an unbeaten 38-ball 88. Chasing 228, KKR once again messed up with their batting-order, with Sunil Narine once again failing at the top of the order, Dinesh Karthik promoting himself above Eoin Morgan and once again perishing cheaply and Rahul Tripathi batting at 9.

That said, Eoin Morgan [42 off 18 balls] and Rahul Tripathi [36 off 16 balls] nearly pulled off a record run-chase courtesy late-overs assault but the likes of Nortje and Stoinis kept their cool to help DC take the 1st spot in the points table.

Meanwhile, RR has fallen to the sixth spot in the table while KKR is at the 5th place.
