IPL Best Tournament To Resume Cricket For India: Bhuvneshwar Kumar

IPL is nothing short of a festival in India. This edition will be even more special as it comes after a brief hiatus following the novel coronavirus pandemic. India and SuRisers Hyderabad (SRH) fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar who has away from cricketing action for sometime due to injury is looking to put his best foot forward in the lucrative tournament.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar said that it is great to be back after staying away from the game due to his injury first and then the pandemic. He also said that he’s pretty excited about IPL and there cannot be a better tournament for India to resume cricket.

“It’s great to be back, personally I have been away from this game for a while, first I was injured and then this coronavirus pandemic put a halt to every sport. I am pretty excited about IPL like I have said I have been away from this game for a while so I cannot wait to get back in action, I don’t think there could be a better tournament than IPL in India to start off with cricket and I am sure it will bring joy to the people of India,” Bhuvneshwar told IPLT20.com.

“Definitely, I am going to miss playing in India especially in front of our home crowd, they have been supporting us for many years, I feel they are one of the major motivating factors for us,” he added.

The right-arm fast bowler is set to open the bowling for SRH. He has an experience of playing 172 T20 matches where he has picked up 182 wickets with the best bowling figures of five for nineteen.

IPL 2020 will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). IPL 2020 is likely to get underway in September 19 and will run till November 10. However, the fixtures are still to be confirmed.
