India completed a clean sweep, as they routed the hosts, Ireland by a massive margin of 143 runs in the second Twenty20 Internationals at Dublin to pocket the two-match series.

Meanwhile, the team finished their preparations on a high, as they gave every player some game time ahead of the England tour. Batting first, the visitor’s propelled to 213 runs banking on KL Rahul and Suresh Raina’s 106-run partnership. While Rahul was on song right from the word go, Raina took his time to settle down.

Rahul hammered the inexperienced Irish bowlers all over the park to bring yet another fifty for him. Raina, meanwhile, found gaps to score most of his runs. Furthermore, it was Hardik Pandya’s blistering hitting at the end that took India over the 200-run mark.

However, in reply, it was one-way traffic for India, as they rattled Ireland for just 70 runs. The spinning duo fo Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal shared six wickets among each other while Umesh Yadav chipped in with two wickets after making a comeback to the team after six years.

As a result, Virat Kohli & Co will be oozing with confidence before taking on the England side.

KL RAHUL (9/10)

KL Rahul utilised the opportunity to great effect, as he notched up a brilliant half-century to strengthen his case. He continued his form from the IPL and scored 70 runs including six boundaries and six sixes.

Meanwhile, his form will boost the confidence of the Indian team ahead of the England tour.

VIRAT KOHLI (3/10)

Virat Kohli once again failed to get going which will certainly give some headache to the team management. Kohli promoted himself up the order but departed cheaply scoring only nine runs.

However, the team management will desperately want Kohli to get back in form.

SURESH RAINA (7.5/10)

Although he struggled to get his timing right, Suresh Raina spends some crucial time in the middle to get some runs under his belt. He and KL Rahul took the game away from the Irish with a 106-run partnership.

The southpaw scored 69 runs from 45 balls including five boundaries and three towering sixes.

Rohit Sharma failed to get going after a swashbuckling knock in the first game. However, he was sent in the middle-order to accommodate Rahul at the top.

However, this will not worry the management, as he looked in good touch.

MANISH PANDEY (6/10)

Manish Pandey, at last, got some runs under his belt before the team moves to England. Although he scored at a slow rate, he got his timing back. Pandey remained unbeaten on 21 runs off 20 deliveries.

HARDIK PANDYA (8.5/10)

India’s premier all-rounder displayed some amazing hitting, as he single-handedly took the score over the 200-run mark. Pandya smashed four towering sixes, as he took the game away from the hosts. He also claimed one wicket after remaining unbeaten on 32 runs off nine balls.

DINESH KARTHIK (2/10)

Dinesh Karthik came into playing XI in place of MS Dhoni, as the management looked for experiments. However, Karthik didn’t get an opportunity to showcase his talent with the bat. Meanwhile, with the gloves on, he effected one stumping off Kuldeep’s delivery.

Kuldeep Yadav’s rich form with the ball, as Irish batsmen struggled to tackle his spin. Moreover, he finished as the highest wicket-taker with seven wickets from two games. Kuldeep’s form will be very crucial for the side on this long tour.

UMESH YADAV (6/10)

Umesh Yadav made his comeback to the T20I side after a gap of six years, as he replaced Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Although he went for 19 runs in two overs, Yadav claimed two wickets with the balls.

The think tank’s idea of giving all the player’s some game time has worked perfectly.

SIDDARTH KAUL (7/10)

The young seamer, Siddarth Kaul had an outstanding debut in the international arena. He returned with figures of one for four in his two overs. Meanwhile, he is a huge prospect and this will strengthen India’s bench strength.

YUZVENDRA CHAHAL (7.5/10)

Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep’s duo has become a match-winning pair for India. After sharing seven wickets in the last outing, the duo bagged six in this game. Chahal bamboozled with variations returning with three for 21 in his full quota.
