Suryakumar Yadav, during his whirlwind knock of 79* (off 47 balls), has once again displayed why he deserves to be a part of the Indian white-ball set-up.

Yadav, who had shown a glimpse of his class in the first 5 games of the ongoing IPL, finally displayed the full picture on Tuesday night as he smashed the Rajasthan Royals bowling attack to all corners of the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Suryakumar Yadav came in to bat at the fall of Quinton de Kock’s wicket and what followed next was the unleashing of his full repertoire of strokes as he flicked, pulled, dabbed, and scooped his way to a brilliant 47-ball 79.

Yadav ensured that Mumbai Indians didn’t fall behind the eight-ball following a mid-inning ruddle that saw the defending champions lose three quick wickets, including that of skipper Rohit Sharma.

SuryaKumar Yadav has been displaying his prodigious talent consistently in domestic cricket. Last year, the Mumbai swashbuckler had smashed 392 runs in 11 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy games at an average of 56 and a strike-rate of 168.96.

In fact, Yadav is the only batsman to score 350+ runs at an average of 50+ in the past two editions of SMAT.

Following yet another brilliant innings, Irfan Pathan, former Indian all-rounder, just like millions of fans, wondered what Suryakumar Yadav has to do to earn a place in the national set-up, and that it will be disappointing if he still doesn’t find a place in the side.

Taking to his Twitter account, Irfan Pathan wrote-

”It will be very disappointing if  @surya_14kumar doesn’t find a place in the Indian team with this kind a form… #wattaplayer,”
