Ever since the conclusion of the ICC World Cup 2019, the one question, which is circulating in Indian cricket is the retirement of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. However, the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is maintaining silence on his future plans in his cricketing career.

Following the world cup 2019, MS Dhoni is yet to play for India in the limited-overs format of the game. He was unavailable for India in West Indies and also stayed away for the series against South Africa.

In the recent, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has asked to extend his leave until November, which means that he would be unavailable for the series against Bangladesh as well.

MS Dhoni sustained a hairline fracture in his finger:

Initially, it was expected that MS Dhoni is staying away in order to see whether any youngster could fit in the role of the Indian team. Amidst this, a few sections of people felt that the retirement is on the cards from the massive man of the Indian cricket. However, the recent reports suggest that he is out of the game because of his injuries.

During Indian Premier League 2019, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has complaints on his back, which also kept him away for a couple of games as well. Later in ICC World Cup 2019, he sustained a hairline fracture in his finger. Despite that, he continued in the series, which only aggravated further.

It has now been learned, as per the report, his back injury aggravated during the World Cup. Presently, the Ranchi-born wicket-keeper batsman isn’t even fit to play for the country. He is expected to be fit again by November, which is when the former can be seen donning the India jersey again.

This would also mean that Dhoni would be available to play in December when the West Indies team tours the home side for a T20I and ODI series. The series is slated to begin on December 6. Dhoni was last seen wearing the blue jersey when India lost to New Zealand in the semi-final of the 2019 ODI World Cup, on July 10.
