Ishant Sharma Opens Up On How MS Dhoni Pulls His Leg

Indian veteran seamer Ishant Sharma has shed light on how MS Dhoni takes a funny jibe on him. While Ishant Sharma made his international debut against Rahul Dravid, it was under MS Dhoni that the 97-Test veteran transformed into a vital cog in India’s line-up. The pacer shed light on the same in interaction with Deep Dasgupta over Cricket Baazi for ESPN Cricinfo.

MS Dhoni is considered one of the best captains to have ever played for India. Ishant Sharma pointed out that mentally he has turned more than 32 years in age. The Delhi seamer recalled his wife also telling him that while MS Dhoni’s message also reveals to have been called him as “old man”.
“Actually, mentally main 32 se zyada ka ho chuka hun. Meri biwi mujhe buddha bolti hai. Mahi bhai ka bhi mujhe message aata hain aur woh bhi mujhe bolte hain ‘aur buddhe, kya kar raha hai?,” Sharma stated.
When received a text message like it, Ishant remembered telling the keeper-batsman that he is only 32. However, MS Dhoni replied by saying that even though you are 32, your body is equivalent to 52. “Main unko bolta hun ‘Mahi bhai, main 32 saal ka hun’, toh woh kehte hain ‘teri age 32 hai, lekin tera sharir 52 ka hai beta,” he added.
