Pakistan prodigy batsman Babar Azam believes it is an honour for him to get compared with Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Azam has been the most consistent batsman for the Pakistan side and often he is regarded as the next Virat Kohli of the cricket world. However, Azam is still in the young days of his career and it would not be prudent to compare him with Kohli.
In fact, Azam has delivered the goods for the Pakistan side. Azam has an immaculate record in the 50-overs version as he has shown the right promise to be the future of Pakistan cricket. The talented batsman has scored 2462 runs in 59 ODI matches at a stellar average of 51.29.

Azam is proud.
On the other hand, Azam has an amazing record in the shortest version of the game. The right-hander has scored 1182 runs in 29 T20I matches at an average of 53.73. Consequently, he is at the numero uno position in the ICC T20I rankings.
Meanwhile, Azam said he wants to contribute towards every win of the Pakistan team. Azam has played with aplomb and wants to continue with his good show with the bat.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli is the best and most consistent batsman in the world. Kohli has scored his runs in all the conditions and Azam wants to follow the footsteps of the Indian skipper.
“It’s flattering to be compared to Kohli,” said Babar as per news.pk. “He is very consistent and his mindset is very good, he gives 100 percent every time he walks out to bat. I am at the start of my career, so the aim is to be like him and be the epitome of performance in each of Pakistan’s wins,” says Babar.
In fact, Azam was able to get to 1000 and 2000 ODI runs faster than Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Babar Azam will like to keep going strong as he has the talent and skills to have a long career. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s coach Mickey Arthur believes Azam will be among the top five batsmen across all the three formats in the coming time.
