The build-up for ICC World Cup 2019 is going strong with the England former cricketer Michael Vaughan making a vice on it on a regular basis. He is pretty much confident of England and Wales Cricket Board to win the trophy in an upcoming edition of the tournament. Now, he narrows it down to India and England as far as the favourites are concerned.

The tournament begins from May 30 and will be played in England and Wales. While India will be looking for their third title – after success in 1983 (under Kapil Dev’s captaincy) and 2011 (under Mahendra Singh Dhoni); England is hoping to pick up their first silverware.

Of late, the England and Wales Cricket Board got a settled squad in the ODI format with all the departments being covered with the eligible players. The home conditions will also put them as one of the favourites to win the tournament.

On the other hand, the Indian National Cricket Team is performing exceptionally in all conditions. They have got the best batting lineup, which is equally being backed up by the bowling department. The area for improvement is pretty low, which would certainly put them on top of the chart.

Eoin Morgan and Virat Kohli lead well:

Speaking of the tough competitors, the former English batsman Michael Vaughan picked India and England while terming finalists. He believes that both the teams have done brilliantly and got great leaders marshalling the troops.

“India have proved they are going to be a force especially with Virat Kohli. So, if I had to narrow it down to two – I would say it is between England and India,” ICC digital quoted Vaughan as saying.

”England are right up there with the best teams in the world. And that has been proven to be the case over the last few years but there is a group of teams. Morgan is a tremendous leader. The way that he has managed the ODI set up for the last four years has been great,” he inferred.

Well, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for both countries. As of now, both the sides have got balanced squads with few great players in the team. Besides India and England, there are quite a few strong teams waiting to show their mojo.
