James Anderson Included in Lancashire 2nd XI Squad

Veteran England fast bowler, James Anderson has been named in the Lancashire 2nd XI squad which will take on Nottinghamshire in a three-day friendly encounter.

It will also mark the return of Anderson to competitive cricket after sustaining an injury a few months ago. The match will be played from tomorrow at the Emirates Old Trafford Stadium.

The speedster hasn’t been part of the English side since the victory in the 2nd Test over Pakistan on 3rd June. He has spent the whole of the last month rehabilitating from the right shoulder injury. Anderson is in the twilight of his career, and he needs to be careful with the injuries.

James Anderson will be a vital cog for the English team when they meet the resurgent Indian team in the Test series which starts from August 1.

Haseeb Hameed will lead Lanchasire

The Lancashire 2nd XI side will be led by a young Haseeb Hameed who had already got the exposure of representing his country at the highest level.

Tom Bailey, Matthew Parkinson and Steven Croft have also got inducted into the squad. Entrée fee of the 2018 Members and the fixture also entitles the Club Bails and Alexs Festival. It will be screening the World Cup final which will take place at Lord’s on the same day in one year’s time.

Tickets are now on sale for the Vitality T20 Blast at the Emirates Ground in Old Trafford. The ticket price starts from just £5 for adults and £1 for juniors. None of the fans wants to miss the big T20. Games in Manchester in 2018.

Anderson is nearing the end of his career and will to finish with a bang. He is expected to play a big role in the Test series against India which is expected to be a very intense battle.
