What Does James Neesham Think About His IPL Price Tag? The New Zealand All-Rounder Replies

James Neesham, New Zealand all-rounder, is looking forward to the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.

Neesham was picked up by the Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia co-owned Kings XI Punjab franchise for a sum of Rs 50 lakh in the last IPL auction.

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to kickstart in the United Arab Emirates from September 19. The upcoming season will mark as an IPL comeback for the New Zealand all-rounder, who last featured in the cash-rich league way back in 2014  where he represented Delhi Capitals.

Apart from precocious talent as an all-rounder, James Neesham is also one of the wittiest cricketers of the modern era. Neesham is quite active on social media where he regularly engages with his fans via the Question-Answer session.

James Neesham replies to a fan asking his views on his IPL price-tag

James Neesham conducted a Q-A session on Twitter on Friday [August 14], where one of the fans asked him about his thoughts on being sold at his base price of Rs 50 Lakh in the 2020 IPL auction.

”@JimmyNeesh Your thought on being bought at 50Lacks base price at IPL 2020 Auction.” the fan asked.

The Kiwi all-rounder shrugged it off by saying that anyone who gets disappointed in being paid Rs 50 Lakh for 2 months cricket should get their head checked.

”Anybody who’s disappointed at 50Lakhs to play a game for 2 months needs their head checked ?‍♂️” replied Neesham.

Apart from James Neesham, other New Zealand cricketers who will feature in this years IPL are Lockie Ferguson [Kolkata Knight Riders], Mitchell McClenaghan, and Trent Boult [Mumbai Indians], Kane Williamson [Sunrisers Hyderabad] and Mitchell Santner [Chennai Super Kings].
