No one would have expected that Jasprit Bumrah is going to rule the world cricket when he first appeared in the Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians. The first three deliveries of him were knocked to the fence by Virat Kohli but what followed next was the ribbon-cutting of Bumrah’s glorious cricketing career.
He trapped Virat Kohli plumb in front of the wicket and then, tasted success throughout the tournament. Within a span of the time, he was asked to represent India against the Australian side for the ODI series under MS Dhoni captaincy.
It is about sticking to my strengths – Jasprit Bumrah
After receiving the debut cap for team India, Bumrah bagged Steven Smith, as his maiden wicket. A stunning yorker followed it to the all-rounder James Faulkner, who always delivered the goods against the Indian team.
Speaking of his secret on the sidelines of a promotional event, Jasprit Bumrah cited he would love to focus on becoming better on a regular basis. Further, Bumrah added he likes to learn from every single game that he features for any side.
“There is no secret. I always focus on getting better and learning from each and every experience that I have had. I always focus on things that have worked for me,” he adds on the sidelines of a promotional event for ASICS in Mumbai.
“For me, it has been about sticking to my strengths and developing around that. It is just been a small start. The start has been good and I just want to keep learning and keep getting better,” he added.
However, it has been a great ride for Jasprit Bumrah since his debut. And also, he has grown from strength to strength to take the number one position in the ICC ODI rankings chart.
