Former Pakistan legendary batsman Javed Miandad has slammed the Board of Control for Cricket for planning to ban Pakistan from World Cup. In the latest developments, it is reported that BCCI will request ICC to bar Pakistan from participating in the upcoming ODI showpiece. However, Miandad said that there is no chance ICC can listen to this request of the Indian board.

Former players have also jumped into the discussion. India’s spinner Harbhajan Singh has said that BCCI should do whatever the Indian government tells them to do. On the other hand, Sourav Ganguly said BCCI should take stern action against Pakistan. Moreover, Sunil Gavaskar believes it is better to defeat Pakistan in World Cup rather them to boycott them from the quadrennial event.

Miandad criticizes Sourav Ganguly.

“There is absolutely no chance of the ICC listening to the BCCI as its constitution allows members the right to participate in its events,” the legendary batsman said as per Dawn on Friday.

India doesn’t lock horns with Pakistan in bilateral series and Pulwama attacks have added fuel to the fire. Furthermore, the whole controversy has put the India-Pakistan World Cup match in jeopardy. India and Pakistan will take on each other on June 16 at Manchester.

India-Pakistan encounter is in jeopardy.

Meanwhile, Sourav Ganguly said that BCCI should take a strict action regarding cricketing ties with Pakistan. Subsequently, Javed Miandad believes it is a publicity stunt from Sourav Ganguly. The former Pakistan skipper also added that Ganguly wants to join politics.

“I think Sourav wants to run for elections in the coming days or wants to become the chief minister as it is just a publicity stunt to gain the attention of his country mates,” Miandad said.

On the other hand, 44 CRPF jawans were martyred when a jeep carrying 300 kg of explosives ran into the convoy. It was a brutal attack from the terrorists on 14th February. Since then the whole nation has been in shock.
