Well, the game of cricket has seen quite a few inventions in the recent past for the safety of a player. A batsman has got all kinds of gears to protect himself for any injuries. But, on the other hand, the game also witnessed dangerous injuries happening to the fielders, bowlers and sometimes even for the umpires as well. Meanwhile, Jaydev Unadkat suggests face-mask for the bowlers after Ashok Dinda incident.
Ashok Dinda was recently injured after being thrashed by the batsman in his face. Though he tried to evade, there was not much time to make a successful attempt. He was into the ground after the blow and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
However, thankfully, the presence of a quality medical service helped Dinda recover quickly. Meanwhile, Doctors completed the CT scans and declared that there is no risk of serious injury to the right-handed fast bowler. The incident took place in the practice match for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Time for a face-mask for the bowlers: Jaydev Unadkat
Speaking of the same, the left-handed fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat quoted that this is the high time for the bowlers to use face-mask. Meanwhile, he asked Ravichandran Ashwin to express his opinion out regarding the same.
Digging into his tweet, it read ”About time that a “face-mask” for bowlers makes its way. All that has evolved in cricket. Its scary how this kind of incidents have become frequent in our game. Hope you good Dinda
@dindaashoke .. What do you say Ash bhai?

Perhaps, Jaydev Unadkat is right in calling for a face-mask. It is not a new invention, as the bowler in New Zealand, who plays for Otago Volts have already used such a mask while playing in Super Smash Tournament.
However, it would be interesting to see whether any player would bring such an innovation in the upcoming International games or the most-followed Indian Premier League 2019.
