Rajasthan Royals’ powerhouse batsman Jos Buttler feels he has not quite scored as many runs as he would have liked to up the ante until at this stage of the tournament. Throughout the tournament, Jos Buttler has got good starts. However, the right-hander was not able to convert into something substantial.

Buttler had one score of fifty – in a losing cause against Mumbai Indians – before Rajasthan’s encounter with Chennai Super Kings. Against the yellow army, Buttler, who is now slotted down to the middle-order, took Rajasthan over the line in what could have been a tricky chase of 126 runs.

After the fall of three early wickets, Buttler joined hands with skipper Steve Smith and saw off the time against the CSK pacers before launching an attack to the Chennai spinners. He remained unbeaten on 70* from 48 balls, smashing seven fours and sixes, and was adjudged the Man of the Match.

Jos Buttler recently said that he is doing okay, but Buttler believes he hasn’t scored as many runs as would have liked to.

He wants to help the team win matches by scoring more runs. Buttler also admits about their mistakes in the past few games, which the Royals could have won.

In an official release issued by the Rajasthan Royals, Buttler said,”I have been doing okay, not quite scored as many runs as I would have liked to and help the team win matches”.

“We have started to play better in the last few matches. We probably should have won the last three but have only managed to win one of those, so we now have four matches remaining all of which are must win for us.”

The Rajasthan star knows that all games are now must-win matches for them to qualify for the playoffs and he hopes to do well in their next assignment against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are coming off a super over loss against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

“We will need to win all four games to give us a chance of making the playoffs. There is obviuosly a bit of a gap between top four and us and we know th equation for us, so we move on to the next game with a hope to do well and hopefully win against the Sunrisers [Hyderabad],” said Jos Buttler.

With a comprehensive victory over the Chennai Super Kings, the Royals are at the sixth position on the points table. They have acquired eight points in 10 matches and face the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday in Dubai.
