South Africa star David Miller is gearing up for a new challenge in the Indian Premier League (IPL). After serving Kings XI Punjab for long, he will now ply his trade for Rajasthan Royals. The left-handed batsman was with the Punjab-based outfit since 2013.
David Miller proved himself at Kings XI Punjab. He played an integral role in the 2014 season when Kings XI Punjab made their first and so far only appearance in the final where they lost to Kolkata Knight Riders. The southpaw did not really perform as per expectations in recent seasons and will be keen to start his new journey on a strong note.
And ahead of the upcoming season, he has heaped praise on Shikhar Dhawan, stating that he really likes watching the Indian star bat in the IPL. Miller is a fan of Dhawan’s counter-attacking style of batting and added that he liked the way the batsman would just quietly go about his business and treat every game the same.

“I just love how he goes about his game. I’ve got to know him as a person as well. He is extremely relaxed about his outlook on his game and is very professional. But at the same time, he understands that cricket is cricket and sometimes things turn out differently,” he told IANS
“But, yeah, just the way he goes about his business and is a really consistent performer. So, I really enjoy watching him bat,” added David Miller.
Meanwhile, the thirteenth edition of the IPL is scheduled to start on September 19 while the final is to take place on November 10. IPL 2020 will be played across three venues – Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in UAE.
